A Handmade Valentine

I know it's still January but I'm already thinking red and pink and preparing for Valentine's Day. I started making my cards, posted my sale in my shop and I am now planning for my Valentine's Day getaway. Not much for "romance" but this year I think I'm going to rent a cabin in California's Wine Country and relax by candle light and a jacuzzi.


The only thing missing now is Valentine's Day gifts. Valentine's Day gifts don't have to be big just something special that says "I Love You." What better way to do that than with something handmade. If any holiday should be handmade, it is definitely Valentine's Day.


Etsy is full of great Valentine's Day gifts. Find the perfect piece of jewelry, heart shaped soaps, cards, chocolates, stuffed toys and much, much more. I'm sure you can find something untraditional too! The best part of buying Valentine's Day gifts on Etsy is that when doing so, you are also showing your love for the artist and the handcrafting community. Without realizing it, your purchase is like giving a Valentine to the seller.


When I did a search this morning for Valentine's Day items on Etsy, I was overwhelmed. There were SO many and SO many great items. I had a REALLY difficult time narrowing them down to a few of my favorites. Please note that the few I picked out are really only a few of my favorites. I may have to do another post with some more items as it gets closer to the holiday. Maybe I'll do one just for men. I know I always have trouble finding a Valentine's Day gift for my man. It really is a woman's holiday. I won't complain!
