New Years Resolutions and Plans for 2010

I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions or set goals for the year - I never have - but this year I decided to set a few. My top most resolution is to pay off as much of my debt as possible. I went through my credit cards last year and looked at the APRs on each. They were INSANE! I tried talking the credit card companies into lowering them but they weren't hearing it. After all they will be losing money starting February. So, instead, I decided to pay off as much as possible of the ones with the highest interest rates. Almost two weeks into the new year and I have already taken steps towards doing this.

My second resolution is to do at least one craft fair this year, preferably the Handmade Calvacade put together by the NewNew Team of Etsy. I missed it the last two years. From what I can tell, it looks incredibly fun (hard work as well). I am hoping to also do the Brooklyn Flea once this summer.

I've done a few craft fairs here and there but it is a bit hard to do in New York City. I don't have a car so transporting my items to the location can be difficult and storing tents and tables in my small apartment is nearly impossible. Also, many of the fairs are just outright expensive. Nonetheless, I WILL do one of them this year.

I also have one goal for this year but it is too early to share. I don't want to jinx it. When the time comes, I will definitely share it with all of you.

Do you have any New Years resolutions or goals for 2010? Share them with us!

I would like to do more fairs this year as well. And credit card companies can be major pains in the rear--good for you for getting them down.

I'm not too big on New Years resolutions... your's sound good though. Maybe I'll make an attempt at trying more new things.

wishing you success with all your goals!
Have you thought of having a Home Show--open your home to buyers? Of course you have to have customers, neighbors, friends already. I've done a few of these and they've been fairly successful.c
