This week's featured shop/artist is Donna of Glass and Wire Gems.

Donna started making jewelry in early 2008 as a hobby and started wire-wrapping about six months later. Donna has worked with stained glass for years. A friend/mentor who has worked with dichroic glass for a long time asked Donna if she wanted to take a class with her. Her interest grew from there - it's the hobby that has grown wings.

My favorite stone is the amethyst.

Do you make other crafts?
I've done some card making and crocheting.

What attracted you to Artfire?
It's newness and the ease with which you can do things. I'm not good with computers and their site helps a lot. I also like the way the different artists work together. They are a community.
