Monday Giveaway and Feature: Jess Kay Designs - Closed

littledeadmommy and Aik won this giveaway. Congrats!

This week's featured shop/artist is Jessica of Jess Kay Designs

Jessica started making jewelry as an early teen. It began as a hobby she
would do with her mom and sister. Jessica stopped for many years and just started back up a few years ago, mostly making gifts for friends. It wasn't until earlier this year that she decided to really dive in. That was when Jessica started her Etsy shop. Now that she's started, she can't stop!

Win a pair of Green Chalcedony Dangle Earrings ($28.00 value)

For a chance to win this week's giveaway, you must:

Name and post a link to your favorite item from one of the featured artist's shops in the comments section of this post (link at the end of this post)

Featured Shop = JessKayDesigns.etsy.com

For additional chances to win (leave a separate comment for each entry):

1) Tweet the giveaway and post your tweet in the comments below (include @NMArt in your tweet and your twitter username with the entry comment) - 1 extra entry

2) Post a link to the giveaway on your Facebook page and leave a comment below with the Facebook post and a link to your Facebook page - 1 extra entry

3) Blog about the giveaway and post a link to your blog post in the comments below - 1 extra entry

4) Purchase an item from the featured shop and post a link to the item you purchased (transaction link) - 4 extra entries

ENTRIES WITHOUT CONTACT INFORMATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

(Email address, Etsy username and Artfire username accepted. Leave contact info for each entry.)

Entries will be accepted until Monday, December 7, 2009, 2pm Eastern Time. I will notify the winner the following day. Please be sure to stop by every week for more great giveaways.

Thanks to Jessica's generosity, two lucky readers will win a pair of these earrings.

While you are visiting Jessica's shops, please take advantage of her special 20% discount for Nature Manipulated readers. Enter NMBLOG in the message to seller upon checkout and the difference will be refunded to you. This offer cannot be combined with another discount offer, minus "last chance" designs. This special offer is valid until December 31, 2009.

A little bit more about Jessica's craft and shops:

What is your favorite material to use? Stone?
I love working with sterling silver and stones (semi-precious and precious). For silver, the material I'm currently working with is Art Clay Silver (a recycled silver clay that is kiln-fired into pure silver). As for stones, depending on my mood, I sometimes look for rough and organic looking stones, but right now I'm doing a lot of pieces with sparkly, cut/faceted stones.

Can your items be found anywhere other than Etsy?
Currently, Etsy is the only place I sell my jewelry.

Are you on any social networking sites? Which ones?
I also list new items on my facebook page, myspace page and I have a flickr account.

Please name and provide a link to ONE of your favorite Etsy (or handmade) shops.
I love Mautto Handbags! I might be a little biased because it is my Aunt Lynette's shop, but she is extremely talented and thoughtful about details. I have a handbag and lunch sack that I use everyday!

Tell us something interesting about you or your shop.
I am a full-time Interior Architecture student in my final year and as much as I'm ready to graduate and move on from school, a small part of me wants to stay there for the sole reason of being able to take some jewelry courses and expand my skills. I am mostly self-taught which makes my skills somewhat limited and I want to be able to take my line of jewelry even farther. I am really interested in learning about wax carving, casting and metal smithing techniques, so I may try that out next summer!

Thanks for participating in this week's giveaway. Be sure to stop by next week for another great giveaway.
