The artist behind Phoenixwildfire is a college student who loves to craft. She has been making jewelry since she was very young. Her mother taught her how to make her first necklace - it was for an outfit they were making for the SCA (medieval reenactment group). Since then, Phoenixwildfire has taken on additional forms of crafting and art: making stuffed animals and costumes, painting, drawing, crocheting, stone wrapping, glass beadworking, photography, and the list goes on.

A little bit more about Jessica's craft and shops:
How would you describe your workshop?
My work and shop are both very casual - a table with a new sewing machine, my little sushi pin cushion, several tubs and dividers for fabric and other crafts, and drawings all over the walls, along with a small folder of ideas I jotted down here and there. I work hard to make things as best I can. If I wouldn't want it, how can I expect anyone else to want it?
What is your favorite item in your shop?
My favorite item is a print of the 'cover' I drew for one of my many stories I write.
It's the cover for my favorite story, The Mirror. Toran (the man) and Althea (the woman) are two of my favorite characters ever made. The story is a lesson on racial tolerance, trust and survival.
Can your items be found anywhere other than Etsy?
They can also be found at phoenixwildfire.deviantart.com. That is where ALL of my artwork is. It's sometimes difficult to find crafts among the drawings, and you can't purchase anything there.
Please name and provide a link to ONE of your favorite Etsy (or handmade) shops.
Talkproof - She makes the cutest stuffed animals! I have been wanting one of her cupcake bears for months now.
Tell us something interesting about you or your shop.
I work at a bakery as a cake decorator but I'm also a dental hygiene major. A lot of people find this ironic.
